Spirits ex Dutch MV Frigo - 1967 Found by Ray Gregory's Mobile Rummage Crew, suspended in two sacks hanging from beams in the after peak water tank. The vessel, from Spain, was berthed at Kent Wharf on the Erith Station. The two owners were prosecuted and received court fines of £50 each on 9 March 1967 |

Spirits ex a Nigerian National or Ghana Black Star vessel -1968 Found by Dennis Hillier's Dock Baggage & Station Rummage Crew concealed under a veritable mountain of cases of beer, the seizure consisted of ship's stores loaded in Germany, wrapped in brown paper and placed in a catering storeroom beer locker. The goods were seized from the Chief Steward as the Rummage Crew were unable to prove intent as he was not on ship when she arrived in Tilbury Dock. The vessel was outward bound to West Africa. |
