The Management Structure of The Waterguard as at 1937 |
The organisational management structure for 1937, as shown below, has been 'assumed' from the 1937 edition of Public Notice No 68 - 'Boarding Stations for ships arriving at or departing from ports or places in Great Britain or Northern Ireland'. A PDF version of the Public Notice is available from the 'button' on the right. |
The following ports and places listed in the Public Notice have not been identified on 'modern' maps - any help in identifcation would be welcome!
The rest of the ports and places have been identified and are listed below in geographical order, around the coast from the northeast to the northwest of the UK. Although they were grouped into seven geographical Waterguard Divisions, which ports and places formed each Division and the names of those Divisions have not yet been established. So they are presented here grouped as in the Waterguard Divisions of 1891-1922.
